Bengaluru: The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) will have Dream11 (online sports fantasy company) as the title sponsor, replacing Chinese mobile company Vivo, it was confirmed on Tuesday (August 18).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Viva had suspended the IPL title sponsorship for this year amid tensions between India and China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

According to media reports, Dream11 won the bid for this year for Rs 222 crore. Vivo was paying the BCCI Rs 440 crore per year for IPL title sponsorship.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni, Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant are among the brand ambassadors of Dream11. The company was founded in 2008.
IPL 2020 will be played in the UAE from September 19 to November 20. Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are likely to face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the tournament opener.
