Karnataka Police have tracked 50 foreign nationals, who attended Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin, Delhi.  Karnataka health minister B Sriramulu on March 31 said that the government has information that around 45 people are from Karnataka.

Bengaluru: Karnataka health minister B Sriramulu on March 31 said that the government has information that around 45 people from Karnataka had taken part in the Nizamuddin congregation in Delhi. The Tumakuru resident (who died on March 27) is one of them, he said and added that 13 people have been traced so far.

According to reports, more than 50 foreign nationals who attended Tablighi Jamaat in Nizamuddin are tracked down by the Karnataka Police.

So far, 34 people have been quarantined - 10 from Malaysia, Kirkisthan - 10, Indonesia - 11, France - 1, Kenya - 1 and British - 1.

Assam chief minister Himata Biswa on Tuesday said that the Assam government is now in possession of a list of 299 persons who were present in and around the hotspot near Nizamuddin Dargah. "We've alerted dist admins to find out if these people have returned to Assam, and strict instructions issued to quarantine them if they are in the state," he said.

Uttar Pradesh Police confirmed to ANI on Tuesday that the search for 157 people from the state, who had participated in Tablighi Jamaat event at Markaz, Nizamuddin in Delhi is currently underway.
