PM Modi to visit Serum Institute of India on November 28

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Serum Institute of India in Pune on November 28.
Confirming the visit, Pune divisional commissioner Saurabh Rao said: "We have received official confirmation about the Prime Minister's visit to Pune on November 28. The PM will visit Serum Institute which is working on the production of Covid-19 vaccine."
The SII has partnered with global pharma giant AstraZeneca and the Oxford University for developing COVID-19 vaccine.
Both University of Oxford and AstraZeneca had earlier this week said that their vaccine was up to 90% effective in late-stage clinical trials, raising hopes for its arrival in India by the end of the year.
