Coronavirus: Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi defies lockdown orders

As Tamil Nadu started to feel the heat of growing coronavirus positive case, people have been requested stay indoors. But, Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi defied lockdown orders. The actor reached veteran journalist’s house to attend his funeral and helped the family with cash.

Chennai: Known for doing things differently on and off screen, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi recently defied the 21-day lockdown order. He instead attended a funeral of veteran journalist Nella Bharathi at his residence.

The incident was reported at Porur, on the outskirts of Chennai. Vijay Sethupathi, along with few friends, reached veteran journalist and poet Bharathi's house and also helped the poor family with some money.

Sethupathi is known for his dynamic screen presence, which has earned him the title 'Makkal Selvan (people’s treasure)' and this act of defying the lockdown order to attend a funeral and help a family in distress will further cement his image in people's heart for ever, say fans.

Sethupathi's film Master with Thalapathy Vijay is slated for a 2020 release and recently during the film’s audio release, superstar Vijay had heaped praises on Sethupathi for his hard work and simplicity.
