MG Motor hikes prices of its SUV models including Hector, Hector Plus, Gloster; Details inside

While Hector received a Rs 8,000 price increase on some models, the Hector Plus received a Rs 15,000 price increase. Gloster's chosen versions' prices have risen by Rs 40,000.

Unlike other manufacturers in India that give offers and discounts over the Christmas season, MG Motor has raised the pricing of its SUVs' pricing, Hector Plus, and Gloster. This is the fourth price increase for the corporation this year. The recently debuted Astor and ZS electric SUVs, on the other hand, have been excluded from this price increase. While Hector received a Rs 8,000 price increase on some models, the Hector Plus received a Rs 15,000 price increase. Gloster's chosen versions' prices have risen by Rs 40,000.

While the base Super 7-seater edition of MG's flagship SUV Gloster remains untouched, every higher grade has seen a Rs 40,000 price increase. The SUV is currently priced between Rs 29.98 lakh and Rs 37.68 lakh. Gloster's tariffs were raised by up to Rs 80,000 earlier this year. Except for the Super version, every other model had seen a price increase.

In the case of the MG Hector, the price increase is restricted to the petrol models of the vehicle. While the segment-leading versions of Hector — Style MT, Shine MT, and SHine CVT — have not seen a price rise, the Smart MT Hybrid trim has seen a Rs 7,000 increase. Every other fuel type has seen a Rs 8,000 price increase. The MG Hector is priced between Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 19.35 lakh.

For Hector Plus, apart from the standard Super trim, which is available at a reduced price, the price increase for Hector Plus also extends to the diesel type. While the Sharp variation of the Hector Plus diesel model has had a Rs 5000 price increase, the Smart trim has seen a Rs 15,000 price increase. The price of the SUV's six-seater petrol variants has been raised uniformly by Rs 8,000. The most recent price increase applies only to the Smart and Select variants of seven-seater petrol cars. Both trims have got a Rs 15,000 price increase.
