Mahindra XUV700 has broken an endurance record; details here

Mahindra's newest offering in the Indian market appears to be generating frequent headlines. We recently revealed that the XUV700 has received 50,000 orders and is currently booked for a year. The mid-size SUV has also broken the national 24-hour endurance record. The previous record of 3,161 kilometres was established in 2016. The XUV700 set a new national record at Mahindra's SUV Proving Track in Chennai. It is the first SUV to do so. The XUV700s took part in the challenge in four different ways.

Surprisingly, all of the samples had 4,000 miles on the clock. The diesel manual trim leads the pack with 4,384.7 km, followed by the diesel automatic with 4256.12 km. The manual did 4,232.01 km in 24 hours in terms of fuel versions, while the automatic did 4155.65 km. In addition to the national 24-hour endurance record, a total of 80 additional records were broken during this effort. The average speed for the practice was 170-180 kmph, including the time needed for fast fuel refills and driver changes.

According to an official, the XUV700 was conceptualised, designed, and manufactured to a very high endurance level, and it performed exceptionally well in this gruelling test. The business is delighted that the XUV700 has set new endurance benchmarks and national records. It's worth noting that this accomplishment occurred during our very own world-class MSPT.

There are two engine choices for the Mahindra XUV700. The combination includes a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2L turbocharged diesel engine. There are two gearbox options: a 6-speed stick shift and a 6-speed automatic transmission. AWD configuration is also available here, although only in the diesel-automatic grades.
