Andhra Pradesh TDP mind games to undermine YCPs confidence

Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for the 2019 General elections with the ruling party developing various mind games and plans to demoralize the opposition.

As part of such plan, ruling TDP (Telugu Desam Party) has sped up its ploys to undermine the confidence of opposition YCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) by announcing that many YCP MLAs are ready to defect the party to shake hands with TDP.

The plan was set into motion with the words of IT Minister Nara Lokesh on his trip to Vijayanagar when he said that many YCP MLAs are interested to join TDP. This news was further spiced up by Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu of Tekkali Constituency.

He mentioned that many YCP MLAs directly called him asking him about joining TDP but he said that it would only be decided after the party’s internal discussion. He prophesied that YCP would be erased from the political battlefield by the next election.

On the other hand, YCP cadre say that this is the mind game of TDP targeting their MLAs in preparation for the next elections. They say that till date 20 YCP MLAs defected and joined TDP out of which only 10 may probably get ticket for the next election. ‘What’s the use of joining TDP when there’s no political development?’ is the thought process of YCP MLAs.

Anyone would wish to crossover to another party for a political gain. Why would anyone switchover when there’s no gain?
