SDPI flag atop Shankaracharya’s idol causes anger among seers, leaders
Close on the heels of Bengaluru violence that resulted in the loss of three lives and damage to several properties, the SDPI has allegedly hoisted a flag atop Hindu saint Adi Shankaracharya's idol.
The incident which occurred in Sringeri came to light on the morning of 13 August and is said to have angered the section of Mutt leaders and Hindu organisations who have demanded serious action in this regard.
