Karnataka: Woman prays and steals money from Mangalarathi plate

Kodagu: A woman was caught red handed stealing money from a Mangalarathi plate at a temple in Kodagu, when no staff were at the temple premises. The woman who has covered her face with a mask and a stole walks in and prays at the temple like any other devotee. However, after she is done praying, she bows down and grabs 3-4 currency notes from the Mangalarathi plate placed in the temple. The woman later goes around the temple and comes back to grab a few more notes from the plate. Fear of being caught the woman immediately rushes out of the temple and demands a lift from passer-by, after being denied a drop the woman immediately walks away.
