British Conservative MP David Amess was fatally stabbed multiple times at his local constituency office in the Belfairs Methodist Church in Leigh-on-Sea.

The alleged assailant has been arrested by the police. The murder weapon has also been reportedly recovered
The Tory MP, was a prominent campaigner against abortion and animal welfare issues, was stabbed around noon when he was interacting with people from his constituency.
Amess was among the longest-serving lawmakers in the British House of Commons. He first entered Parliament in 1983.
Many leaders took to Twitter to condemn the stabbing of the lawmaker
Mourning the demise of the Amess, Prime Minister's Boris Johnson's wife Carrie Johnson remembered him as a "hugely kind and good" person.
