WATCH: Here's how Indian Army rescued six lightning-hit people

The Army promptly came to the rescue of six locals on a hunting trip in the far reaches of Dibang Valley in Arunachal Pradesh after they were struck by lightning, providing immediate first aid to the victims and carrying them to a safe location. 

Six locals on a hunting trip in the far reaches of Dibang Valley in Arunachal Pradesh were struck by lightning on the night of September 21, and suffered critical burn injuries and shock. The hostile terrain made their evacuation by foot difficult.

The Army promptly came to their rescue with the Dao Division of the Spear Corps providing immediate first aid to the victims and carrying them to a safe location. 

Two army helicopters aerially evacuated the victims to Dinjan where they were provided critical medical aid at a Military Hospital.
