Telangana: IAF chopper rescues 12 farmers stuck in flooded field

Indian Air Force airlifted 12 farmers who were trapped in floodwaters in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. The incident occurred when the farmers went to their fields to pump out excess water from their land.
 
Meanwhile, the streams which were overflowing due to rains entered their field and trapped the farmers. Soon the villagers alerted local MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy and Panchayat Raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao. An IAF helicopter then reached the spot and rescued the farmers.
