Kalaburagi DC's order violated, arrivals from Maharashtra allowed without COVID negative report

Gross negligence from Kalaburagi district administration as people from Maharashtra are being allowed in Karnataka without Covid negative certificate.

The DC had ordered that people entering Kalaburagi from Maharashtra should provide the required health certificate but at all five borders, officials at checkpoints are allowing people without checking these documents.

The officials are only collecting names of the people entering from Maharashtra and subjecting them to thermal screening but are not asking the public for any Covid negative certificate.

Recently, there is an upward swing in Covid positive cases in Maharashtra and the government there has already closed down colleges in many areas and is allowing restaurants and hotels to function with only 50% occupancy.

As a preventive measure, the Kalaburagi district administration has made it a mandatory rule to produce Covid negative certificate to enter Kalaburagi from Maharashtra.
