Bengaluru: A mob went on a rampage in Bengaluru east on Tuesday evening (August 11). Thousands of people vandalised a police station, a Congress MLA's house, and damaged public property. Speaking exclusively with Asianet Newsable, Bengaluru Police commissioner Kamal Pant gave updates on the situation in KG Halli and DJ Halli. He too was injured in the violence, along with other police personnel. The mob resorted to violence over a derogatory social media post by Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy's nephew P Naveen.
