Coronavirus lockdown: 300 cremated remains left aside in Amritsar without final rites

Nearly 300 cremated remains have been left aside in Amritsar as final rites could not be performed due to the 21-day lockdown

Amritsar: Due to the nationwide lockdown, cremated remains of people have been left aside as final rites could not be performed due to the lockdown. Till date, in Amritsar's Durgyana mandir there are around 250-300 bones and ashes which have been left aside without proper rituals.

Family members of deceased are upset over the fact that their loved ones haven't reached heaven. Bus services and rail services are closed, and people are unable to go to Haridwar to perform the rituals for the deceased due to curfew.
