As there were concerns of death due to hunger among migrants and construction workers in Whitefield and Mahadevpura areas of Bengaluru, the citizen groups, corporate sectors and the police collaborated to reach out to the marginalised sections. With food packs being distributed on a daily basis and essentials being delivered at people's doorstep, nearly 40,000 workers have been taken care of.
Citizen groups like Whitefield Rising, Rotary, corporates like SAP, Goldman Sachs have joined hands with the Whitefield Division Police in reaching out to the poor with cooked food and essentials that can last for ten days.
