Karnataka govt issues fresh guidelines for international passengers, read details

The Karnataka government has issued fresh guidelines for air passengers arriving from foreign countries. Passengers must provide the latest Covid negative RT-PCR report at the New Delhi Airport before scheduling their travel to India.

International travelers planning to visit Karnataka have to keep in mind the fresh travel guidelines issued by the government of Karnataka. As per its fresh guidelines, passengers from countries like Europe, Brazil, South Africa, Botswana, Bangladesh, China, Mauritius, Zimbabwe and New Zealand will have to follow additional measures on their arrival.

Here are the guidelines for air passengers who are planning to arrive in Karnataka:

Must submit a self-declaration application in 'Air Suvidha' a digital platform before scheduling their travel.

The passengers will have to upload the latest RT-PCR negative report and the report should of a less than 72 hours.

Must give an undertaking that they would home quarantine and also monitor their health as per guidelines.

While boarding, the airline's staff will have to check these necessary documents mentioned in the guidelines.

Arogya Sethu application must be in the passenger's phone.

Must undergo thermal screening.

Upon arrival, they will again be subjected to thermal screening and show the documents. If found to be positive up on arrival, he or she should be isolated and take treatment.

Countries with whom India shares mutual agreements to accept and allow fully vaccinated passengers to leave the airport and they will have to monitor health for two weeks.

Non-vaccinated or partially vaccinated passengers will have to undergo Covid test.

Quarantine for 7 days. During quarantine, if he or she develops Covid, isolate themselves, get treatment and call up the national and state Covid helpline.
