In rather outrageous public utterance, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA,c has said that he would behead the ones opposing the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

"Some people are saying that they will create ruckus if Ram Mandir is built in Ayodhya. I welcome the ones who are warning of dire consequences. We have been waiting for years to behead such traitors," the MLA said while addressing a public gathering on Thursday ANI reported.

Singh, who represents Goshamal constituency in the Hyderabad Assembly, had made a similar statement following the Dadri lynching, where a mob on September 2015 killed an elderly man over suspicion that he had stored beef in his house, which he hadn't.

"We warn them against a Dadri-like incident in Telangana. We can both give our lives and take life for the sake of protecting the cow", he said back then.

Raja Singh's remark comes a day after Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti said that she was ready to go to jail for Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Uma Bharti had yesterday said,

"Ram temple is a matter of belief for me and I have immense pride in it...If I have to go to jail for it I will go, if I have to hang myself for it I will do it."
