  • Congress had opposed and criticised the construction of this building
Veteran Congress leader Jana Reddys dilemma

Telangana Senior Congress leader Kunduru Jana Reddy has been invited to attend the meeting to appoint Information Commissioners on Friday at Pragathi Bhavan, the working office of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

But the Congress had opposed, objected and criticised the CM for his Pragathi Bhavan when already a new one was available at Begumpet. KCR built this new one in the name of vaastu and wasted crores of people’s money.

Jana Reddy also criticised as to why there’s a need for bulletproof bathrooms in Pragathi Bhavan. Now he’s being invited to the same building for the meeting. Congress leaders are of diverse opinions as to whether Jana Reddy would attend the meeting or not.

But they know Jana Reddy’s seniority and political nuances and opined that he would take an appropriate decision.

Telangana government has now created Telangana State Information Commission under the RTI Act 2005 (Central act 22 of 2005) following directives from High Court. The government also constituted a three-member committee to recommend the candidates for the appointment as State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioners.

The committee comprised of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy.
