Telangana Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy alleged that TJAC (Telangana Joint Action Committee) Chairman Prof M Kodandaram is grouping up with Naxals and Congress to tarnish the TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) government.
Speaking at the book release function of ‘Tholi Telangana’ in Mehboobnagar district headquarters on Sunday, Naini said that Kodandaram came to his home to inform him that police have been arresting JAC leaders.
“I advised him to take up yatras only with police permissions,” he said.
Naini accused the opposition of trying to hinder the development of the state and warned that there is no scope for survival of anti-social elements in the state. He said the state is in its path of development and no one can stop it.
The program is attended by MP Jitender Reddy, ZP Chairman Bandari Bhaskar, MLA Srinivas Goud, former MLC Jagadiswar Reddy and others.
Earlier Prof Kodandaram met Naini Narsimha Reddy at the minister’s quarters seeking permission but he did not get a positive response. He was arrested along with several of his colleagues on Saturday at various places when they were on their way to participate in the sixth phase of his Amarula Sphoorthi Yatra in Jangaon and Warangal districts.
