Out of the 65 women, 34 are from Thailand. The passports of these foreign nationals were seized and were forced into flesh trade. The Cyberabad Police raided 12 spas located near the Cyberabad Police commisionerate.
In a recent crackdown on flesh trade in Spas in Hyderabad, the police has rescued 65 women, 34 of whom are from Thailand. While the incident happened on Sunday, what was more surprising was that the foreign nationals were all holding valid business and tourist visas. However, while their identities were being investigated, it was found that their passports had been seized by their employers in the spas.

It was further found that the Thai nationals were forced into sex trade since they were not left with any other option. They were, however, being paid monthly salaries and have been living in Hyderabad for the past 3-6 months.
According to a report in the New Indian Express, the Cyberabad Police raided 12 spas located near the Cyberabad Police commisionerate. It was done under the supervision of Madhapur DCP Viswa Prasad. Sapta, Tantra spa, V Spa, Mandara spa, Moh spa and Aura spa in Gachibowli, and Aura, Sapta, Tantra, Blizz, Moh and New Revive spas in Madhapur were raided on Saturday night.
Apart from 34 Thai nationals, police also rescued 21 from the northeastern states, one from Punjab and 9 from Hyderabad. A few women who were working as receptionists were also rescued. Madhapur DCP Viswa Prasad, speaking to the New Indian Express, mentioned how they how found massage diapers, used and unused condoms to count for evidence to the illegal activities being run there. He also mentioned how most of the parlours had active prostitution rings operating from the premises or were offering services of a sexual nature. The victims who hail from Thailand, northeast and other states had been lured with the promise of a good job but were later forced into flesh trade. The women from Thailand had come to India on business and tourist visas, but are working here, he revealed.
32-year-old Dasari Siddhartha, owner of the Tripad Vernus and Healing Services Pvt Ltd in Banjara Hills, is alleged to be operating all the massage parlours that were raided. It is said to have previous connections in flesh trade in Tamil Nadu too.
Police claim he was arrested by the Chembur Police in 2016 due to similar offences. The report further reveals how Dasari's arrest led the cops to get to Kake, a Thailand-national operating out of Mumbai, who is said to be transporting women to Hyderabad promising them of lucrative employment opportunities in Hyderabad. Further explaining the modus operandi, DCP said, "Once these women reach the city, Siddartha takes them into their custody and seizes their passports. He forces them into sexual activities at spas and massage parlours. His friends Sarfaraz Ali, Vinay, Ajay and several others assist him in the illegal activities. He has seven spas in Hyderabad and one in Bengaluru. His business partners Venkata Reddy and Balasubramanyam are absconding and teams are on the job to nab them."
