- Raids conducted at Telangana hotels shock health officials
- Consumable were found stored beyond their shelf lives
A recent raid at some of the most popular restaurants in Telangana had an unpleasant outcome. As health officials cringed at the dirt in the kitchens, they were shocked to see leftover food and meat stored for days. Incidentally, these were served in the restaurants.
"The meat was stored beyond permissible number of days and cooked food were also stored, instead of being disposed off," said one of the officials.
The hotels that were raided and fined included Hotel Sitara Grand, located on Road no 12, Banjara Hills; Spice 6 restaurant on Road No. 1, Banjara Hills; Hotel Shivani, Dilsukhnagar; Hotel Bawarchi at Dilshukhnagar; Hotel Shilpi, Dilshukhnagar; and Honey Food Sweet House, Kapra. All of them were fined between Rs 5000 and Rs 20,000.
