It will be almost a year since Jio announced its disruptive 4G data plans for the Indian market. And, there has been no looking back as other telcos put their best foot forward to attract the Indian audiences.

Now, Vodafone has announced a new plan for its prepaid users. This plan brings to user 1GB data every day alongside unlimited local and national calls. This comes as a part of a special tariff recharge priced at Rs 344 with a validity of 28 days.

The plan is applicable to users with 2G, 3G and 4G devices. Though the price is Rs 344, it can vary depending upon the circle to Rs 348 and Rs 349. Users can recharge via MyVodafone app or via its offline stores and other multi-brand retailers.

Now, here's the catch. Though the Special Tariff Voucher states unlimited calls, those using more than 1200 minutes (local +STD) within seven consecutive days will be charged 30 paise per minute. On the other hand, if you use over 300 minutes (local +STD) in a day, you will again be charged 30 paise per minute. Finally, users calling over 300 Unique numbers in any period of seven consecutive days will be charged at 30 paise per minute (local +STD Mobile calls), for rest of the validity period.

Recently, Vodafone had announced its new plan at Rs 244 that offers massive 70GB data and other benefits for 70 days. The new plan brings 1GB 3G/4G data cap per day along with unlimited voice calls. Now the validity of 70 days is applicable only on the first recharge. This means, users will get 1GB data/ day and unlimited calls for 70 days at Rs 244. Now, on the second recharge, the validity will decrease to 35 days for the same amount.
