With the Covid cases rising higher each day, travelling seems to be not a good idea at all. But, Google came up with a really good plan. On this World Heritage Day, UNESCO, Google Arts & Culture developed a new online resource called Explore UNESCO World Heritage.

Ernesto Ottone, UNESCO Assistant-General for Culture, said, "This is a unique opportunity to enjoy virtual globetrotting tour of cultural landmarks  and outstanding places of natural beauty, as well as to access accurate and reliable information on sites of outstanding universal value."

Google has selected 10 UNESCO heritage sites, including Taj Mahal, Yosemite National Park, Serengeti National Park, and The Colosseum, to give a virtual tour for the users.

How will be the experience? Once you open the site, you will get a virtual tour around the Taj Mahal. Know the history, background and royalty of the Taj Mahal. Get a virtual tour here.

Ottone further mentioned in a post, "Of course, this virtual exploration will never replace the unique experience of seeing these places for real and visiting World Heritage sites. We shall travel again. In the meantime, we hope it will nevertheless enable users to immerse themselves in the beauty of our world, and inspire action to protect it."
