Elon Musk: You can now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin

Tesla boss Elon Musk has just made a massive announcement that you can now own a Tesla of your own using Bitcoin.

Making the announcement on Twitter, Musk said: "You can now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin. Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly."

Further clarifying on the radical decision, Musk said that Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as Bitcoin, and not converted to fiat currency.

The facility, for now, is available only in the United States for now. Elon Musk, however, promises to make the 'Pay by Bitcoin' facility available for those outside the United States later this year
