You can now relish a chicken bucket or a burger in your train journey thanks to IRCTC

Railway passengers can now book their favorite food, including pizza and burger online thanks to IRCTC’s new facility. This facility has come into effect from June 15, 2017.

Indian Railways has introduced the new system in Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains in the first phase for which the Indian Railways has signed contract with restaurants such as McDonalds, Domino's Pizza, Pizza hut, KFC and Arya Bhavan.

One can order food through the website www.ecatering.irctc.co.in, or can call 1323 .One can also text to 139 to reserve food by typing MEAL, PNR number and then the order of their choices.

The food will be served to the passenger right at his seat. IRCTC is offering a discount of 5% for online orders.
