Gomathi killed her husband in a fit of rage when he got back home drunk and started quarreling with him. She bludgeoned him with a crowbar and went to the terrace to cool herself off. When she came back, she found him dead.
45-year old Isaimani, a man from Ariyankuppam, Pondicherry was bludgeoned by his wife, who was frustrated with his alcoholism. He was working as a driver in a social welfare organization and was living along with his wife, 41-year old Gomathi and two sons Ilanchezhiyan and Isaivendhan. He used to come home drunk everyday and quarrel with wife.
On June 14, Gomathi lost her patience with him and attacked Isaimani with a crowbar. Following this, Gomathi went to the terrace to cool herself off and stayed there till 3 am. When she came back, she found her husband dead. Repentant of her action, she cried so hard that her neighbors stepped in to enquire if everything was fine. The incident was then reported to the police. After sending the body for postmortem, Gomathi was arrested.
