AIADMK minister and TTV Dinakaran aide Pugazhendi has said that at the time of the presidential election, AIADMK will not bow down at the insistence of BJP.
“AIADMK cannot be forced to support the BJP. The AIADMK General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary will decide on whom to support during the presidential election, and their decision would be implemented by the Chief Minister and the ministers,” said Pugazhendi.
He said that they would take a decision based on whom the BJP announces as the presidential candidate.
“It doesn’t matter even if the candidate has no political background, if BJP introduces a person like Abdul Kalam, we will readily welcome the candidate. Till then BJP cannot claim that they have the support of AIADMK,” he further added.
Talking about Dinakaran’s next move, Pugazhendi said that AIADMK supporters have requested to open a statue of Jayalalitha. To fulfil this, TTV Dinakaran would soon unveil the statue in Madurai.
Talking on the cash-for-votes video, Pugazhendi said, “The charge on Saravanan, based on the video, is fictitious and there is no such evidence produced against AIADMK on the RK Nagar issue as claimed.”
