The Tamil Nadu government has submitted its reports to the High Court on milk adulteration in 187 samples.
Earlier it was said that many private dairy companies in Tamil Nadu sell adulterated milk, which was claimed to be a serious threat to the lives of people.
Based on this, a petition was filed in the High Court. The Court then ordered the TN government to examine the quality of milk.
In reply to that, health secretary, Radhakrishnan has submitted a detailed report on the same.
From 2011 to 2017, 886 samples of milk have been sent for examination which includes samples of Aavin Milk. Out of 886, 187 samples have failed the purity test.
Not only milk, but milk based products were also examined, in which 57 products are adulterated. The exact ingredients used for such adulteration were also mentioned in the report.
