Stalin is being blamed for not being proactive in the river-linking project. Stalin should have asked Rahul Gandhi why he was against the project. Tamilisai Soundararajan also spoke about the drug issues in the state.
“Stalin has sent a letter to the PM regarding the river linking project. Manmohan Singh was serving the cabinet for a decade, why did not Stalin take the effort for interlinking river project during his regime?", questioned Tamilisai Soundararajan. In a meeting in Madurai, she said, “The Central Government has been making serious efforts to eradicate drugs when a drug warehouse was found near Sengundram. The Income Tax Department has filed a complaint against the State Minister and DGPs. In the Tiruchirappalli airport, 75 crore worth narcotic drugs were found. The Children’s lives are slowlydeteriorating due to the drug addiction. The Chief Minister should give special attention to this issue.”
She further added “Why did not Stalin take the effort for interlinking river project during Manmohan Singh’s regime? Why did not he take the effort during DMK’s regime? Why did not Stalin question Rahul Gandhi who is against this project? “
In a meeting in Ramanathapuram, she said, “BJP General Secretary Ashwinkumar and his father Malaimegam were seriously attacked but the policemen are trying to conclude this case as a revenge attack. I don’t trust this investigation. The chief minister should order the re-investigation”.
She further added, “Police men are often refusing our permission to conduct rally. During Vinayaka Chaturthi the policemen said,“do not place the statue here, do not put it there, do not fix such height but we will not tolerate such restrictions hereafter. BJP member would display the idol in any street as he wishes. On any street he will perform the rally. Not only in Ramanathapuram but BJP is getting stronger throughout in Tamil Nadu. Such attacks are happening in order to limit us. “
While she was addressing the crowd, two persons were filming her speech from the back of the crowd. When the party members asked about this, they did not give valid reasons and so the members attacked them.
A man named Suber Aabin (25) was arrested. Policemen came to the rescue of the man named Selvam, saying that it was on their behalf that he filmed the event.
