SP Balasubrahmanyam clarifies on Facebook video on him being critically ill

FollowReports circulating on social media suggested that legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam was critically ill and hence was cancelling his commitments. What provided wind to the rumour is the fact that his younger sister Girija passed away on August 23 and his health deteriorated after the personal loss.
However, SPB, as he is fondly called, took to Facebook to post a video clarifying the baseless rumours. He says that even if someone sees him in a hospital for some minor illness and considers him to be critically ill it is foolish.

He said that he was busy for ten to twelve days owing to his sister’s death. He also said that he sang in a concert on September 2 at Bengaluru.
He insisted the rumour mongers to stop spreading such false information and thanked his well wishers for their concern.
He is currently at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad shooting for the film ‘Swarabhishekham’.
