Rio medallist turned murderer 19 year old found dead after spat with paralympian

In a twist of fate, a daily labourer smashed his bike against the car of a paralympic gold medallist Mariyappan Thangavelu near Danishpet. Things turned sour when the sportsperson came to know about it and went to Kumar, the labourer concerned, demanding Rs 12,000 for the repair work. When Kumar requested for some time to pay up, Mariyappan and his relatives snatched Kumar's mobile phone and asked him to collect it when he has the money.

However, surprisingly, Kumar was found dead near a railway track at Danishpet with severe head injuries the next day. Other parts of his body also showed signs of injury. On getting the information, Kumar's relatives moved his body from the place without informing the police. When police rushed to the spot, they sent the body to the government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, Kumar's relatives cried foul and asked police to inquire Mariyappan in this regard. Police, however, refused to comment on the incident until the postmortem results were out. In a report by the New Indian Express, Deevattipatti Police said Kumar, a resident of Periyavadagampatti near Danishpet was riding his motorcycle in the locality on Saturday when he accidentally hit the car parked near Periyavadagampatti Mariamman Temple.
