The buzz around superstar Rajinikanth entering politics is at an all-time high. A fresh set of claims, from various sources, now claim that Rajinikanth is expected to announce the formation of a new party on his birthday. It is claimed that the name of the party, flag and symbol will be announced on December 12, 2017.

Rajinikanth held a meeting with his fans on May 15, 2017, after eight years. In the meeting, he said, "If the situation demands, I will join politics. Be prepared for the war.” Ever since then he has been receiving both positive and negative remarks. There has been some serious debate on the possibilities of him surviving as a politician in the long run.

Rajinikanth is in Mumbai currently shooting for his upcoming film, ‘Kaala Karikalan’. It is reported that he has been discussing possibilities with North Indian actors who are holding various positions in politics.

For his fans, the death of Jayalalitha and Karunanidhi's age are the prime reasons that will pave the way for Rajinikanth’s political entry. For his part, Rajinikanth has planned to wrap up the shooting of his movie within one or two. He will be meeting his fans in the month of July as well.

When queried about why there was a delay in announcing it, the same sources claimed that his announcement could be delayed because of the release of his movies ‘2.0’ and ‘Kaala’.
