Police protection has been given to the AIADMK Councilor’s home as the petrol bomb was thrown into his residence. Muhammad Iqbal is the AIADMK’s secretary, for the ward 38, and the former councilor of the same ward.
Today, at 2.15 am a bomb was thrown at his house making huge roar. When enquired on this, it was reported that few unidentified persons have lit the petrol bottles and have pitched at Iqbal’s house.
Fortunately, few of those bottles did not get lit. With regards to this, a complaint has been filed in the police station. Inspector Kathiravan and team have rushed to the spot and have begun the investigation. This news was spread like a wildfire and people have immediately gathered around his house.
The investigation was further carried out by the superintendent of police Sakthivel, who assured that an immediate action would be taken.
