The political atmosphere in Puducherry is quite charged up for some time now. Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi has drawn the ire of a lot of parties after she swore in three members nominated by the Central government as members of the Legislative Assembly on July 4.

In response to this some parties are preparing to go on a condemnation agitation. A poster alleged to be made by the Congress depicts Kiran Bedi as Hitler.

The tweet says that Congress MLA (Cong) Anandaraman of the Manaveli Constituency and printed by the Manveli Congress Committee is behind this.

All the BJP leader said in her tweet was a ‘hand folded emoticon’.

The three members who were inducted in the Puducherry Assembly are V Saminathan, who is also Puducherry BJP President, KG Shankar, who is also the treasurer of Puducherry’s BJP unit and S Selvaganapathy, a BJP member. Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy along with other Congress MLAs had protested against the swearing in of the Centre’s nominees.

A shut down protest has been continuing in Karaikal. After Puducherry, Karaikal also carried out a shut down protest.

Kiran Bedi also shared on Twitter other posters that have been cropping up in the city one which has her head superimposed on a poster of Goddess Kali and the other one shows a wall painting which shows her being chased out by the people.
