Kamal Haasan does not go to funerals will attend Sridevis

The Indian film industry is still reeling under the shock of veteran actress Sridevi's sudden demise. Sridevi died after suffering a cardiac arrest in Dubai, at only 54 years of age.

Sridevi, who started her career with the Tamil film Thunaivan, won her first Filmfare award with a veteran actor from the same industry, Kamal Haasan, for the film Sadma.

It is reported that Kamal, who started his new political party Makkal Neethi Maiam, will be leaving for Mumbai by the 3:25 pm Jet Airways flight on Monday, Friday 26. He is going to meet Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor and family.

What is interesting is that Kamal, on the day of launching his party, said that he does not visit funerals. This was in reply to a question as to why he did not visit former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's funeral but decided to start his political journey at the iconic scientist's home.

Why is Kamal Haasan contradicting his own statement?
