Deepa, who had a heated argument with the police and the security guards, claims the Poes Garden house is her property by law of inheritance.

VK Sasikala, Jayalalithaa's close aide, had moved into the Poes Garden after the latter's demise in December. But with Sasikala being jailed after her conviction in a corruption case, the issue of inheritance again became a matter of debate and Deepa has now made her move.

Earlier this year, the ownership of Jayalalithaa's Kodanand estate had also become a matter of controversy after gang broke into the premises, murdered a guard and stole some documents.
