Deepa Jayakumar, the niece of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, has alleged that her brother Deepak conspired with Sasikala to kill her aunt.

The siblings engaged in a war of words outside Poes Garden after she claimed that the authorities barred them from entering Jayalalithaa resident. The Deepa camp claimed that she and the supporters were denied entry by Chennai police.

Deepa later demanded a police enquiry on her brother Deepak. "Deepak has joined hands with Sasikala, her close family members and attempted to assassinate Jayalalitha while she was in the hospital," Deepa said, reported Times of India.

Deepa allegedly was manhandled, there also reports that some journalists also were "hit" by the security at the Poes Garden.

"I came because Deepak invited me. But they hit me and pushed us outside," she said, reported TOI. A video that is widely being shared on the Internet shows Deepa and Deepak engaging in a war of words. It is alleged that the siblings even hit each other, that, however, could not be verified independently.
