Claims of plastic rice in Tamil Nadu are just a hoax: TN Health Minister
- Health minister of Tamil Nadu confirmed that plastic rice is a rumour.
- Samples were taken from 3124 shops across the city and none of it was found to be plastic.
- People need not panic, said the health minister.
FollowHealth Minister C.Vijaya Baskar said, “There was no plastic rice found in Tamil Nadu and hence people need not believe in rumours. Samples were taken out of 3,124 shops and were sent for quality check. Not even a single sample was found to contain plastic. So, people need not panic and I request the netizens not to spread such rumors in Social Media sites”.
