112 feet tall the Adiyogi enters the Guinness Book of World records

The magnanimity of the bust is overpowered by the spirituality of it. The 112 feet tall bust of 'Adiyogi' Lord Shiva was unveiled by the Prime Minister of India-Narendra Modi on 24 February. However, it is significant in more than one way. This bust in Tamil Nadu has now entered the Guinness Book of World Records for being the largest bust in the world.

The Guinness has made the announcement on its website. Guru Jaggi Vasudev, the founder of Isha Foundation, had set up the bust and is planning to set up three more statues of similar height across the country.  According to the press release issued by the organisation, "it is 112.4 feet high, 24.99 metres wide and 147 feet long, as verified on March 11, 2017."

The bust symbolises the source of Yoga and represents the 112 methods of self-transformation that the first Yogi or the originator of yoga offered.

This is not the first time that Isha Foundation has found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. It had earlier received accolades for planting millions of saplings.
