Dubai: India’s ace paceman Jasprit Bumrah will now have to settle for second position in the latest ICC ODI bowling rankings, making room for New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult who has taken over as number 1.

Bumrah’s wicketless slump in the three-match ODI series slowed down his progress and has allowed for Trent Boult to overtake the death over specialist who has not had too much going his way.

New Zealand beat India 3-0 in the recently held ODI series.

Boult is now ahead with 727 points while Bumrah trails by eight points.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman of Afghanistan and Kagiso Rabada remain unmoved in the third and fourth positions, respectively.

Pat Cummins of Australia stands at number 5 followed by England player Chris Woakes and Mohammad Amir of Pakistan.

Mitchell Starc bounced back up in the rankings from the 10th spot to settle at 8.

New Zealand’s Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson take up the remaining two spots to close out the top 10 of the ICC ODI bowling rankings.
