Top 5 IPL records that Virat Kohli may never be able to break

Kohli is currently one of the best batsmen in the world, but even he may not be able to break these records.

Top 5 IPL records that Virat Kohli may never be able to break

Virat has proven himself in all formats of the game and holds various records to his name but here is a list of records he will probably never break.

Virat Kohli is certainly among the best all-format batsman to take to the sport in this generation.  He already has been able to bag records to his name at the beginning of his career as captain of the Indian Cricket Team.

In the shorter format of the game, the Indian Premier League, Virat has already proven himself to be a force to reckon with. His consistency as captain to lead the team even at times when all the other fail to contribute to the squad.

However, there are some records that the RCB captain may never be able to break. Let us have a look at some of these records.

1. Highest Individual Score

This record belongs to Kohli's former team and West Indian, Chris Gayle. In 2013 IPL, Pune Warriors had to face the wrath of his exhilarating 175 scored as he blew the ball outside the park.

Meanwhile, Kohli's highest score has been 113 against Kings XI Punjab. Considering the fact that Kohli has preferred to go 3 down this season it is highly unlikely to see him break this record.

2. Fastest Fifty

K L Rahul holds the title, who scored a fifty from 14 deliveries against Delhi Daredevils with 6 fours and 4 sixes earlier this season. On the other hand, Kohli's fastest fifty comes from 26 deliveries. Virat is a player who likes to build his innings slowly as the match progresses and hence is the reason why we wont be seeing him get to this one anytime soon.

3. Highest Strike Rate in an Innings.

South African Batsman Chriss Morris holds this record. While Playing for Delhi DareDevils in 2017 IPL Season. Morris blasted 38 runs from just 9 balls getting to the strike rate of 422.22. Considering that Kohli goes higher up on the order. He would require a 4 in almost every delivery, a risk a batsman of his caliber would think twice at pursuing.

4. Fastest century

This record again is held by West Indian Batsman Chriss Gayle. The batsman struck a scintillating century of just 30 balls against Pune Warriors in 2013 edition o the IPL. Kohli's fastest century comes off 47 balls as he sits at the 13th position o fastest centuries.

5. Most sixes in a single Innings

Yet again, this record is held y the West Indian laster Chiss Gayle. In his innings o 175 against Pune Warriors in 2013. He hit 17 Sixes against them which is exactly 102 runs only y hitting sixes. The highest Kohli has hit is 8 sixes in an innings. Keepin in mind that Kohli likes a well-paced Inning. He would not make the cut o his record anytime in the near future.
