Anil Kumble has said that he will not accompany team India in the upcoming tour of West Indies. Even in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy in England, he only gave some practice to Indian bowlers and did not interact with the team much.
This comes after much speculation of growing dissatisfaction in the Indian camp against Kumble. Several players have accused of being a tough taskmaster. Even Virat Kohli is said to have complained about his overbearing nature.
The BCCI had, before the start of the ICC Champions Trophy, invited fresh applications for the post of head coach. It had also asked the Cricket Advisory Committee Comprising of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman to mediate between Kumble and Kohli and also decide on the new coach.
