Karnataka opener Robin Uthappa might shift base to Kerala next domestic season. Jayesh George, the Kerala Cricket Association Secretary, has said that KCA will soon announce Uthappa’s selection once he gives the go-ahead.

31-year-old Robin Uthappa has represented Karnataka since he made his debut back in 2002.

However, he was dropped from the state team during the last Ranji season’s quarter-finals match.

“Former KCA President KC Mathew had contacted Robin during a match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore during the Indian Premier League, and I also coordinated with him. He (Robin) is interested, and we are also interested in having him in our side,” George said to PTI.

When George was asked if Uthappa has discussed anything further, George said, “I would not like to talk about it. When the time comes, I will let you know.”

Uthappa confirmed that he has been in talks with the KCA. However, he has not confirmed anything to them. He said that he would talk about it when the time comes.
