Chennai Super Kings, who have already taken the Trophy home on two previous occasions, sit at the second position of the table with 14 points from 10 matches. CSK, who have been so consistent over this season, have already got one foot in the door into the playoffs as they need just 1 more win from the remaining 4 matches to be played. The remaining matches will be played against Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils.
With 3 wins and 6 points from their first 10 matches this season, Delhi Daredevils are at the bottom of the table in the 7th place out of the 8 contenders to the title. DD are at the brink of being eliminated this season and the best shot they have at qualifying this season would be to win every single upcoming match with a good NRR and hope that the other match results go in their favour. Rajasthan Royals, who are as of now at the bottom of the table with just 6 points, have managed to win just 3 out of the 9 matches they have played. As the team got off to a very slow start, they would now need to win all their remaining five matches to qualify to the Playoffs and cannot afford to lose a single match as it would result in the team being eliminated from the tournament.
In the next five matches, they will face Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians , Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Virat Kohli, who has been facing severe criticism this season, have a bleak chance at making it to the playoffs this season. At the 6th position with 6 points winning 3 matches out of the 7 played, RCB will have to win all of its remaining matches and hope that they would have a better Net Run Rate to make it to the Playoffs.
They will be facing Sunrisers Hyderabad , Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals for their remaining Matches.
Despite missing out on their former Captain David Warner, as he was banned from playing the tournament, SRH have done exceptionally well this season placed at the top of the table with 16 points winning 8 out of the ten matches played.
They will be facing Royal Challengers Bangalore twice, Chennai Super Kings , Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders for their remaining matches this season.
