CSK returns to IPL 2018

The second innings for Chennai Super Kings has begun, and it’s whistle podu time for fans. After Supreme Court imposed two years ban of CSK and Rajasthan Royals on July 14, 2015, the ban is lifted for these two teams, officially from today.

With the return of CSK to IPL, fans are already geared up to get some entertainment from their players. Even though it will take more than eight months for the start of next edition IPL, fans are cheering up for the return.

 

The fans are creating an atmosphere on Twitter as if they are welcoming the reign of Dhoni and his courts' men.

After the ban is expired, it’s obvious that CSK will retain MS Dhoni in the team. But the challenge for CSK is to keep Dhoni despite the retention policy of players has not been decided yet for next year’s IPL. If all the players are out for the auction, other IPL franchisees may jump in to get Dhoni.

 

 Speaking to TOI, K George John, one of the directors of CSKCL, said "If we are given an option of retaining a player, it will be Dhoni," K George John, one of the directors of CSKCL.”

“We haven't yet discussed with Dhoni as his contract with Pune Supergiant ends later this year.However, we will speak to him in the future," he added.

 

After the return of CSK, it's not just fans who are excited. The CSK management is aiming at starting their campaign from today. The campaign will give memories of the team.
