Woman found dead on hospital premises family suspects foul play

The death of a hospital staff under mysterious circumstance on hospital premises has raised many questions. Though police call it a case of suicide, the family has refused to accept the possibility.

Anju, a native of Nemom, in Thiruvananthapuram, was found lying in a pool of blood at the car parking lot of SK Hospital in Edapazhanji, where she had worked as a lab assistant for two years from 2012 to 2014. She succumbed to her injuries after two days at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.

The police first said the woman committed suicide, but the family was not ready to accept it. The investigating officials suspect that Anju fell from the hospital building, but have not been able to find any evidence.

She was visiting the hospital frequently for past few days, and family members believe that she wanted to get an experience certificate from hospital authorities. However, hospital management had denied her request, and she was trying to get it as she got a job in the Middle East and wanted the certificate to join there.

"The family rejected the possibility of suicide and said she was looking forward to joining the new job," Poojapura Inspector Rajesh said.

Hospital authorities rejected the statement of family and said there is no eye-witnesses or CCTV footage to prove any accident happened to her.
