Will offer 'Kalipuja' with your blood: RSS threat to CPM legislator

- DYFI deplored the threat and alleged that the RSS was trying to destabilise peace in the area.
Just days after an RSS leader from Madhya Pradesh courted controversy by announcing Rs.1 crore reward for the head of Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, a group of RSS workers marched to the house of young CPM legislator AN Shamseer on Sunday evening and shouted slogans threatening him.
"We'll offer Kali pooja with your blood. We won't give you another warning," the RSS workers allegedly wrote on the compound wall of his house at Madappeedika in Thalassery. But the immediate provocation for the march is unknown.
Shamseer is the MLA representing Thalassery and is also the district committee member of the CPM. The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), the youth wing of the CPM, alleged that the RSS was trying to destroy the tranquility in the area through provocative rallies and threats. Senior leaders of the party visited the house and deplored threats on the life of the young legislator.
Kannur, which is infamous for political clashes between CPM and RSS, has been witnessing relative peace in the past few weeks after talks chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
