where is Ambareesh

Actor-turned-politician Ambareesh, the MLA from Mandya, which has seen the strongest protests over the sharing of Cauvery water with Tamil Nadu, has been completely dissociated from the entire issue.

The agitation of farmers has been ongoing in Mandya for some 20 days now. Though as an elected representative of the people in Mandya, Ambareesh might be expected to suggest solutions to the problem, he has not participated in any of the current movements.

Today, the government called for a special legislative session to ratify its decision not to adhere to the Supreme Court's order to release 6,000 cusecs of water. However, Amabareesh skipped that session as well, since he is currently in the United States.

He had initially made a trip to America to attend the AKKA Kannada festival at the beginning of the month, scheduled for four days. But even after 20 days, he has not officially returned to India.

This absence has not gone unnoticed by the farmers of Mandya, many of whom have protested against their representative.

When asked about Ambareesh’s absence, Madegowda, Chairman of the Cauvery Hitarakshana Samiti, he stated that he did not want to comment on 'irresponsible people'.

His acquaintances have shared that Ambareesh is likely to arrive at Bengaluru tonight. But whether the people of Mandya will receive his support remains to be seen.
