Vani Vilas Hospital under scanner after baby dies in mother’s womb
FollowVani Vilas hospital is under scanner now after allegedly due to the negligence of the hospital staff a baby died in its mother’s womb.
The 21-year-old Chandana was admitted to the hospital for a caesarean, however, the doctors at Vani Vilas informed the parents that the procedure won’t be required and the new mother can have a normal delivery.
On Sunday, the hospital took the mother for the procedure and even informed her that the baby was doing fine. At 7 pm on Sunday she was wheeled into the operating room but within 15 minutes, the staff came out and informed the family that the child was stillborn.
The shocked and confused relatives were given no clear answer by the hospital staff, nor were they allowed to see the mother or the child. Angry relatives later even staged a protest at the hospital premises.
The family members allege that the child could have been saved had they opted for caesarean. The family members have registered a case and want an investigation against the hospital authorities.
